FedEx members roll up their sleeves for children’s charity

Volunteers from FedEx Express dedicated 1,000 hours to charity and fundraising activities for Action for Children during 2016. More than 160 team members from the rolled up their sleeves to brighten up and transform Action for Children facilities in Newcastle, Bristol, Worcester, Liverpool and CambridgeThey also raised a total of £6,259 for the charity through a series of activities, including completing the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge, cycling all the way from Brussels to Amsterdam, completing the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon and ‘sleeping rough’ for a night as part of ‘Byte Night’, the national sleep-out event.

Corporate fundraising manager at Action for Children, Mary O’Hagan, said: “We are very grateful to FedEx Express for all of their support of Action for Children. The incredible fundraising and volunteering which we have seen this year, particularly from the Sales teams, has been more than we could ever have expected. We look forward to continuing to work with FedEx Express to help some of the most disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.”
