FedEx opens east Swiss sorting centre

The FedEx Express Swiss Post joint venture has officially opened a new centre in Gossau in Eastern Switzerland. It consolidates the operational and administrative activities previously spread across two locations in Wängi and Münchwilen, allowing 35 employees and around ten couriers from partner companies to benefit from a modern and efficient working environment. The facility includes a warehouse of over 3,600 square meters and approximately 400 square meters of office space, three truck loading bays and 40 van docks.

The roofs of the site are equipped with a photovoltaic system and charging points for electric vans is installed.
