FedEx restarts to Russia
[ February 17, 2014 // Chris ]FedEx has restarted its service for private shippers to Russia for registered customers, following an agreement with the Russian Customs authority to implement a simplified, electronic clearance for e-commerce shipments.
FedEx said on 25 January that it had temporarily suspended private shipments to Russia because the customs authorities there say goods will now only be cleared under the “Individual Passenger Customs Declaration Process” rather than established express clearance processes.
Business-to-business shipments were not affected.
