FFG opens in Kent

Manchester-headquartered forwarder FFG International has opened a new London area depot at Northfleet, Kent. Logistics and sales there is headed by Mr David Dewan who joins FFG from Fercam Logistics.

The facility offers full warehousing and distribution operations included a bonded warehouse and acts as the key hub for inbound products from Europe and the Far East via nearby Thamesport, as well as for part load operations from Spain, Italy, France and Germany.

FFG also aims to become the UK’s leading part load service provider from Spain and Italy for the tile, stone, bathroom & kitchenware industries and is increasing its part load frequency from Alicante, Valencia and Castellon to four per week from the end of September in collaboration with itsc partner, Ondago Logistica. It will collect part loads throughout the east side of Spain daily and consolidate for an almost daily departure to the UK. It says that its fleet of 120 cubic metre road trains with 24.5 t capacity and top loading ability are ideal not only for cubic cargoes such as bathroom supplies & biscuits but also for heavy products such as marble and ceramic tiles.
