Fire breaks out at port of Methil

A fire broke out at the port of Methil in Fife on Sunday 21 December, with multiple lorries and trailers on fire according to press reports. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted at 9.11am on Sunday and had seven appliances at the scene but there are no reported casualties. One of the smaller locations under Forth Ports ownership, Methil is handles mainly timber, aggregate, and other bulk commodities as well as serving as a base for offshore drilling rigs.
