First call for Greenock’s weekly Rotterdam route

Peel Ports Greenock has handled the first vessel on a new BG Freight Line weekly service to Rotterdam.

The BG Emerald called at the Port of Greenock on Friday 30 October, one of two 1002 TEU ships that will alternate on the route. 

Peel Ports Group believes the certainty of the service could be particularly valuable to Scotland’s independent distillers, bottlers and their supply chains, at a time when many are under considerable financial and trading pressure.
