French-owned FM Logistic has opened the second stage of its warehouse in the Noginsk district, near Moscow. The new section offers 12,500sq m of additional space, bringing the facility’s total surface to 66,000 m² and its storage capacity to 85,000 pallet spaces to meet demand from customers in the FMCG sector. Among the companies already using the Noginsk facility are Henkel and Bonduelle.

The capacity increase is part of a 3.6 billion rubles investment covering the construction and operation. The Noginsk site currently employs 250 people. The extension will create an additional 100 jobs.

FM Logistic’s managing director for Russia and Eastern Europe, Christophe Menivard, said: “The FM Logistic warehouse in Noginsk is strategically located close to the second main flow of goods to and from Moscow, making it a great choice for current and potential customers. We have seen rising interest from customers in this location, which led us to expand it. The Noginsk facility not only features modern warehouse equipment, it also brings new jobs to the Moscow region.

The site features self driving picking trolleys, photo control and automated equipment to speed up co-packing operations. It has dedicated storage space for hazardous goods.
