Former freight worker takes to the Cloud

[ November 4, 2020   //   ]

Former DFDS employee Coreen Penheiro Wharton has gone into business for herself, offering a ‘Cloud Based Assistant’ service that could be music to the ears of hard-pressed company management. Wharton, whose roles included personal assistant, safety systems and communications officer is combining her experience to provide a single point of contact to provide executives and busy companies with a dependable service, supporting businesses with a wide range of back-office services including in call handling, document and report production, diary and email management, travel arrangements, database management and social media marketing – just at a time when they are most needed.
She says that even before Covid-19, companies were seeking to work smarter, save money and optimize resources. Post-Covid, the business landscape has changed and managers are under pressure to gain back time and avoid daily distractions and focus on other parts of the business.
“My experience in shipping, airfreight and logistics is a great advantage in running my company,“ she says. “I understand what is required before taking on a task.  It is important to establish the details including deadlines and what needs to be delivered.

She is a member of the Society of Virtual Assistants, which ensures all members follow the highest professional standards and best practice.
