Forth bridge to open on 30 August

The new Forth road crossing will officially open on 30 August, said the Scottish government. However, it will then close again on 2-3 September for the Queensferry Crossing Experience, when members of the public – chosen by ballot – have the unique opportunity to walk across it. From 6 September onwards the bridge will re-open to traffic with no pedestrian access.
