Forth Ports names Apprentices of the Year in Scotland and Essex
[ February 16, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]Forth Ports named Declan Swan as Apprentice of the Year in Scotland and Billy Earey, Apprentice of the Year in Tilbury at its annual awards celebration. The joint event, which was held simultaneously in Grangemouth and in Tilbury, acknowledged the value the current apprentices contribute and celebrated their achievements.
Declan Swan joined Forth Ports in 2025 as an apprentice customer service administrator in Grangemouth and is currently working to achieve his Modern Apprenticeship in Freight Logistics.
Billy Earey is a first-year apprentice working at the port’s London Container Terminal.
Forth Ports has also launched an emerging talent campaign with 26 opportunities available across its UK ports with 22 apprenticeships and four graduate roles, the company’s largest intake of Modern Apprenticeships.
