Forth Ports welcomes wind decision

Forth Ports has welcomed the Scottish Government’s granting of consent for the Berwick Bank offshore wind farm project. Chief executive Stuart Wallace said that the port operator had already built the infrastructure required, ahead of market demand, with teams having delivered for the NnG offshore wind project and about to start work on the Inch Cape contract in Leith and Dundee. He added: “To ensure a strong offshore wind industry in Scotland we need the certainty of a healthy pipeline of projects to create high quality, skilled green jobs and sustain an expert supply chain that will be the envy of the world.”
