Forward Computers launches CRM mobile App

[ November 8, 2017   //   ]

Nottingham-based freight software company Forward Computers has announced the launch of its new “SalesTrip” mobile App. As the latest addition to its cross-platform family of mobile Apps, SalesTrip can run across Apple, Android or Windows smartphones and tablets.

Fully integrated with the backoffice ForwardOffice CRM module, it provides the freight operator’s Sales team with the means to access centralised customer and prospect information whilst out on the road. It offers pin-maps as a visual aid to trip planning and utilises onboard smartphone TAPI capabilities to enable phone calls to any of the Clients and Prospects detailed on the planned trip.

Said Ken Stewart, Marketing Director at Forward, “Although the App revolution only started a few years ago, the rapid adoption and ubiquity of smartphones and tablets means that businesses now have more opportunities to change how their service or product is delivered and accessed by both customers and the workforce itself – and the freight industry is no exception to this new landscape. Forward Computers’ success was built on its ability to provide its customers with innovative solutions that deliver real competitive advantage and for over three decades it has scored on numerous occasions with industry firsts. SalesTrip is just one of a new range of mobile Apps that we’ve been working on during the course of 2017 and there are more launches in the pipeline.”

SalesTrip also includes options to update Contact names, Sales Reports and CRM Profiles. Changes are performed immediately where a broadband connection is in place, or queued and automatically completed in the background whenever a connection is re-established. Since Sales information is recorded centrally by the Sales team for any contact with a Client/Prospect, it ensures that information is shared across the entire organisation.

A summary of functionality is provided on Forward’s website, which includes an invitation to download the App and run it in “Demo mode”.
