French railways buys into Swiss freight business
[ February 17, 2017 // Chris ]French Railways’ SNCF Logistics arm has bought a 45% stake in the Cargo subsidiary of independent Swiss rail operator BLS. SNCF said it would strengthen its presence in the north-south market as BLS operates a prime route to italy. SNCF’s two Captrain subsidiaries are the second largest in the German and Italian markets, it added.
