FTA to host Brexit talks

[ November 15, 2017   //   ]

Business Secretary Greg Clark is to visit the Freight Transport Association (FTA) head office at Tunbridge Wells in Kent to discuss the impact of Brexit with chief executive, David Wells this Friday (17 November).

Mr Clark, who is also the local Conservative MP for Tunbridge Wells, will also plant a tree to celebrate the association’s 40-year presence in the town.

The association has been working to highlight the importance of trade and its staff have been briefing politicians and civil servants in the UK and in Brussels.  FTA has also produced a ten-point plan, “Ten Ways to Make Customs Borders Work after Brexit”, which outlines practical, achievable measures that would help to ensure that frictionless trade is maintained after the UK leaves the European Union.
