Games boost for British exports

[ November 19, 2012   //   ]

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has boosted exports because it has given the UK a major reputation boost among multinational business leaders, says new research by UPS and the Centre for Economics and Business Research. The joint study said there had been an ‘Olympics effect’ among senior executives at multinational corporations (MNCs) prompting them to source British exports as a result. The effect wasn’t just confined to London firms – companies in northern England and Scotland also expect to benefit from the ‘halo effect’.
