GB Global adds eight electric trucks
[ October 21, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]GB Global haulage arm James Kemball has introduced eight Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric heavy goods vehicles and deployed dedicated charging infrastructure at its Felixstowe Mega Distribution Centre, operated by fellow group company, Uniserve.
PragmaCharge led the project – supported by UK Government grant funding – providing its Electric Trucking-as-a-Service platform, which combines electric truck access, charging infrastructure, software and operational support.
With an average range of up to 310 miles (500km) on a single charge, the new electric fleet is will operate mainly within a 250-mile round-trip radius of Felixstowe.
The new fleet is expected to travel 560,000 miles each year, reducing CO₂ emissions by 600 tonnes and saving around 242,000 litres of diesel annually compared with conventional diesel-powered operations.
Two 360kW Heliox chargers enable six trucks to be charged simultaneously.
