Gebrüder Weiss cyclists clean up with new record

[ November 7, 2025   //   ]

The fourth Gebrüder Weiss’s GWcycles international cycling initiative has set a new record: 800 riders cycled a total of 1,047,998km — the equivalent of more than 26 trips around the world.

The Austrian headquartered logistics company encouraged participants to log as many kilometers as possible between April and October and, for every 100,000 kilometers ridden, the company pledged to fund the removal of a tonne of plastic waste from rivers and coasts in Southeast Asia.

Gebrüder Weiss partnered with CleanHub, a Berlin-based environmental technology company that builds sustainable waste management systems in heavily polluted regions.
