Gefco UK human resources business partner Eloise Ottewel has raised GBP1,805 for BBC Children in Need after completing a 13,000-ft skydive.

She was inspired to do a tandem parachute jump after supporting the logistics firm’s Coventry to Paris cycle challenge last month and  whichhas so far raised almost GBP40,000 for BBC Children in Need.

She said: “As a mother of two young children, I was so moved by the BBC Children in Need videos screened at the GEFCO UK launch event that I immediately signed up for my first ever skydive to raise money for the amazing charity.

“It was so out of character for me to jump out of a plane at 13,000 feet, but the experience was incredible and I am proud to have successfully completed the challenge.”

Ottewel came back down to earth in Northamptonshire.
