Gefco says it has transported 750 tons of key automotive spare parts to France, including turbo compressors, pistons, control panels, doors and mouldings, in eight chartered flights to prevent production stoppages.

It collected parts from several suppliers, via truck, from Chinese locations consolidated them and loaded them onto chartered cargo planes in Shanghai, China before flying to Vatry and Charles de Gaulle Airport, France.

To aid car manufacturers further in restarting their production, GEFCO has also shipped over two million masks to ensure the health and safety of employees when sites reopen.
