GEFCO has been named European Logistics Company 2012 and UK Automotive Logistics Company 2012 by the Institute of Transport Management (ITM). Managing director of Gefco UK, Tristan Balayn, said: “We pride ourselves on the service we offer our customers and have been working to expand both our offering and client base in the UK and throughout Europe, investing in new sectors and growing into new markets. We are thrilled to receive these two awards, which recognise GEFCO’s continued excellence in the logistics and transport fields and I would like to personally congratulate and thank all our staff. It is only through their commitment and hard work that we have gained this accolade.”

In 2011 Gefco launched EuroDaily which offers multi-daily departures to 15 European countries, allowing the logistics service provider in a move to develop in new sectors in parallel with its existing automotive sectors. It also invested in a new fleet of transporters and expanded automotive activity at its Portbury site near Bristol.
