[ July 15, 2020   //   ]

French-owned forwarder and logistics company Geodis has joined the European Clean Trucking Alliance (ECTA) alongside 20 other businesses and organisations with the aim of reducing its CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030. To achieve this, it will focus on achieving through lower fuel consumption and the development of alternative engines and energies; setting up partnerships with its main subcontractors and developing low-carbon solutions for its customers.

ECTA is meanwhile urging the European Union to make the shift to zero-emissions trucks a priority in order to meet the ambitious emission targets of the proposed EU Climate Law by 2030 and achieve a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050.
