FedEx has reeleased its 2014 Global Citizenship Report (GCR) on its efforts to connect the world in responsible and resourceful ways.

Among other accomplishments, FedEx saved 100 million gallons of jet fuel at FedEx Express and avoiding more than 976,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, thanks to its Fuel Sense and aircraft modernisation programs.

FedEx and the US Commercial Service also provided trade education to more than 72,000 businesses and invested $6.5 billion in diverse supplier spending, which includes small, minority and women owned businesses.

The carrier also worked with Action for Children, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities for five years, giving almost 15,000 children, young people and their families days out and trips together. It was also officially certified as one of Britain’s Top Employers in 2015 for the fifth year running.
