Good times roll again in Gothenburg

[ May 27, 2021   //   ]

Rolling cargo line Wallenius Wilhelmsen, says it is increasing frequency and adding destinations to and from Gothenburg, Sweden in response to increased demand from the market for vehicles, breakbulk and project loads.

After a challenging year with Covid-19 it says that there is “a glimmer of light at the end of a longer tunnel than was anticipated”.

General manager in Sweden, Nikolai Nymoen, said: “After a rough patch during 2020 we now have vessels in our global fleet back in traffic globally. Today, demand is bigger than in a long time and our vessels depart fully loaded.”

Wallenius Wilhelmsen now offers direct services from Gothenburg to the US west coast including Port Hueneme and Tacoma. It already operates services from Gothenburg to New York, Brunswick and Charleston on the east coast, along with six sailings per month to New Zeeland, South Africa, South America and Central America via the Continent.
