Grangemouth modernises with new machines

[ March 7, 2017   //   ]

Grangemouth, Scotland’s main container port, has put three new Kalmar straddle carriers into operation. The new ESC340 straddle machines increase the number of machines at the terminal to 16 and are the first phase of a programme to replace the entire fleet. Owners Forth Ports also added a new Hyster empty container handler this year. They are all part of an investment programme to increase capacity for conventional containers and reefers.
