Green light for DHL Hillebrand takeover

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority approved Deutsche Post DHL’s acquisition of specialist beverages forwarder JF Hillebrand on 15 March. DP DHL had signed an agreement to acquire up to 100% of r JF Hillebrand Group and its subsidiaries for around €1.5 billion and planned to combine it with its Freight division. The transaction was however subject to merger control clearance in certain jurisdictions, including the UK.
