Green light for Terneuzen lock

[ February 5, 2015   //   ]

Flemish minister Ben Weyts (Mobility and Public Works) and Dutch minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen signed a treaty for the construction of a new lock at the port of Terneuzen on 5 February 2015. Ghent Port said it would improve the access to its own port, as well as Terneuzen. Moreover, the new lock, due to be completed in 2012, will provide a smoother passage of inland vessels between the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
