Growth spurt for Redwood with brokerage buy
[ March 4, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]Redwood Logistics and its subsidiary, Redwood Mexico, have acquired Laredo-based US/Mexico customs broker and warehousing provider EELCO. It brings further licensed customs brokerage, a 250,000sq ft Foreign-Trade Zone warehouse in Laredo and a sister operation in Nuevo Laredo into Redwood’s cross-border services, which already manage over 40,000 annual cross-border shipments.
Fourth partly logistics specialist Redwood says that Section 232 tariffs, UFLPA enforcement and nearshoring growth have made fragmented brokerage relationships a liability for shippers. And the move will “ensure customer needs are met in a single point-of-truth, rather than disparate systems”.
