Gulftainer to invest in Thai terminal
[ September 9, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]UAE-based Gulftainer is to make a strategic investment in Suksawat Terminal on the Chao Phraya River, the Group’s entry into Thailand. Located south of Bangkok in Samut Prakan, Suksawat Terminal has direct barge connections to Laem Chabang, Thailand’s principal deep-sea port. Gulftainer plans to invest in the terminal’s capacity, productivity and service offering. Gulftainer chief executive Farid Belbouab, said the group’s ambition was to build an integrated trade and logistics platform in Thailand, combining ports, inland logistics, industrial infrastructure and maritime connectivity.
