Harwich-Hook ships return after 18-day pitstop

[ March 15, 2024   //   ]

Stena Line has relaunched the Stena Britannica and Stena Hollandica on its Harwich-Hook of Holland route after a refit programme that took just 18 days for each ferry, by a 36-strong team.

The operator says that a new type of paint on the vessels’ underwater hulls will save around 780,000 litres of fuel a year while 51% of the ships’ furniture was reused. Passenger capacity has also increased by over 100 seats.

The propellers were also polished to reduce friction and more efficient energy use.
