Hellmann Healthcare gives Goa a go
Hellmann Healthcare Logistics is using Goa as a gateway port as an alternative to the busy hub at Nhava Sheva. The Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association (GPMA) is encouraging pharmaceutical manufacturers to use Goa, which offers weekly feeder shipments to Colombo or Mundra/Pipavav and competitive ocean freight rates.
Director of Hellmann Healthcare Logistics, Andreas Lohmeier, said: “The success of provisional shipments proved the connections at the transshipment port and the transit times were highly competitive and we are now in a position to replicate this route for multiple pharma accounts. In fact, we’ve started some trial shipments from the port in Goa for other customers this month and are currently working on ocean freight requirements for the UK and US inland destinations.”
