Top-end retailer House of Fraser has appointed Allport to manage its international inbound logistics in a three-year contract starting in March 2012.

With 62 locations throughout the UK, the move is the retailer’s next step in supporting its rapidly developing overseas market.

Executive supply chain director at HOF, Mark Holland, said, “We were looking for a fresh, innovative approach that focused on taking our supply chain to the next level. Our business is advancing in international retailing and our supply chain needs to be suitably adaptive and resilient. Allport, with their extensive retail experience, were the ideal choice to support us.”

Allport’s divisional managing director, Danny Clayton, pictured above, added: “The award of this contract is especially positive for us as the UK has been facing a challenging year in retail. We are, and will remain, a logistics provider focused on helping retailers develop their international supply chains, and our team are excited about the prospect of working with such an established brand as House of Fraser.”
