Hyundai boosts THE Alliance

THE Alliance – Hapag-Lloyd, Ocean Network Express, and Yang Ming – has revealed details of its expanded network of ocean container services following the addition of Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) from 1 April. It includes a new pendulum service replacing the existing Asia-Europe FE5 and Transpacific PS7 services. It will be operated by 18 modern 14000+ teu ships.
A modified PS3 will offer new direct coverage of Haiphong creating more value and choice for the customers.
The Asia and North Europe service group will deploy two 20,000+ teu vessel services in a revised FE2 and FE4 route.

Asia North Europe services calling in the UK include FE2, FE3 (both Southampton), and FE4 (London Gateway).

Transatlantic routes are AL1, AL2, AL3, AL4 (all London Gateway) and AL5 – (Southampton).

HMM will not participate in the Atlantic trade.
