IAG deploys warehouse drones

IAG Cargo has successfully tested autonomous drone technology not to deliver cargo but to help manage its warehouse in Madrid. Using technology developed by software start-up FlytBase, the accurately detects and reads AWBs and identifies empty slot locations, potentially saving around 6,500 man-hours a year.
