Jules Verne sets off around the world

The CMA CGM Jules Verne, at 16,000 teu the world’s largest containership was officially inaugurated at a special call in Marseille by President François Hollande, on 4 June. The occasion also marked the 35th anniversary of the group, which was founded in Marseille by Jacques Saadé in 1978. The ship is deployed on the FAL 1 route, linking Asia to North Europe. She continued her voyage on 5 September, heading for Tangier and Southampton.
