Keeping ’em in the air

[ May 4, 2012   //   ]

Kuehne + Nagel has set up a new airside service at Heathrow airport’s Terminal 3 for critical aerospace parts. It allows engineers to remain on stand with the grounded aircraft while KN delivers parts directly to them, helping to reduce aircraft downtime. Storage of critical spare parts at the airport itself allows deliveries to be made to stand at any of the airport terminals within a 15 minute lead time and supply to the facility is managed by KN’s 5,000m2 airfreight hub at Uxbridge.
