[ January 9, 2012   //   ]

Kerry Logistics is to start building a new logistics centre at Zhengzhou in central China’s Henan Province in the second quarter of 2012. The logistics centre, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2013, will be built on 70,000 sq. m of land and will target the electronics and technology, automobile, industrial and material science sectors.
Kerry Logistics’ managing director for mainland China, Edwardo Erni, said: “China’s coastal provinces have refocused to attract manufacturers of higher value-added products and there has been a migration of production to the central and western regions due to lower land and labour costs, we see the potential to transform Zhengzhou into one of China’s manufacturing and processing hubs.”
