Kilted up

[ September 22, 2017   //   ]

Sensitive readers are urged to look away now, but three members of Europa Worldwide Group’s Glasgow team donned kilts and walking boots to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Glasgow branch manager Stewart Lawson (we assume he is the one in the tartan skirt) and his two colleagues Nicola McPake and Tom Gibbons completed the grueling 26 mile ‘Mighty Stride,’ in the 2017 Kiltwalk. So far they have raised more than £2,700 for their chosen cause.

Unlike many Scottish treks, the Kiltwalk has a decidedly urban flavor taking in Gypsy Brae, Granton Harbour and Victoria Park, Leith before heading for Edinburgh’s Promenade and, finally, Arthur’s Seat, before hitting the home stretch.

Europa is managing director Andrew Baxter has also launched a fundraising initiative in which business match funds money its employees raise for charity to the tune of £500 per challenge or event and £25,000 in total.
