Kirk invests in Titan but no change of captain

Danish family-owned investment firm Kirk Kapital has acquired 30% of container storage specialist Titan Containers. Titan has offices in 17 countries, with over 100 depots and is particularly strong in refrigerated container storage, operating a fleet of over 30,000 boxes.

Kirk is investings around DKK140 million to support Titan’s continued growth in the rental fleet and global operations. Arbejdernes Landsbank will continue to support TITAN with debt financing. Titan founder Layland Barker, founder and chief executive, (pictured, below) retains the ownership of the remaining 70% of the company. Kirk chief executive Kim Gulstad, and chief information officer strategic investments Andreas Færk, will join the Titan board.
