UK logistics company, Knights of Old, is launching a new network with Pekaes, Poland’s biggest transport and forwarding specialist. Pekeas has 17 local branches and a network of freight distribution terminals in Poland. Its LTL international director, Marek Tkaczyk, said: “Knights of Old is one of the key players in the UK logistics market. The new partnership will not only allow us to provide a 24/48 hour service within the UK but it will also open a new opportunity to bring our services to Ireland.”

With twice weekly departures to Poland, any destination can be reached on a next day service within Poland by using Pekeas’ own fleet. Knights of Old then returns with freight to its Kettering depot for next day delivery within the UK and Ireland.

Knights group managing director, Ian Beattie, added: “The service allows us to offer collections and deliveries from anywhere in Poland. The uptake for this service has been strong and we are delighted with the volumes we have seen since the launch.”

Knights of Old is a major shareholder in Partnerlink and recently launched Partnerlink Europe, in which TSA of France, Vorex of Holland and M&F Spedition of Germany offer a pan-European solution. In addition to these countries, Knights of Old is able to offer services to Benelux, Italy, Spain and Malta.
