Leman celebrates 120 years in business

[ October 14, 2020   //   ]

The Leman Group celebrates its 120th birthday on Friday 16 October, 120 years after Paul Lehmann deposited 25 krone from his private account, acquired a telephone and rented premises in Copenhagen.

Today, Leman Group has about 700 employees in Denmark, US, the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Greenland and has recently embarked on a strategy to double its revenue to DKK 5 billion within the next three or six years.

During the Group’s 120 years, there have only been six Managing Directors in the director’s chair, most recently Thomas Krøyer, who took up the position as Group CEO in 2014. “The first major acquisition I was involved in, was when we bought DanCargo almost six years ago. Since then, we have doubled the Group and modernized the company on many parameters, and I do hope and believe that we will succeed in developing and expanding even more over the next few years”, says Krøyer.

The anniversary year has been a challenging one for Leman, however, with the Corona pandemic and a subsequent hacker

“But it has also proven that we have a strong foundation and skilled employees, who can promptly and innovatively adapt the business to the new conditions,” Krøyer declares.
