Local sourcing for London Gateway

London Gateway, developers of London’s new container port for DP World has turned to its local area for its latest senior appointments, all of whom come from Essex.
Finance director Clive Allen, is a long term resident, and most recently worked for P&O Containers and the Maersk group.Commercial director Charles Meaby,is from Southend and has been promoted from London Gateway’s general management. Having joined DP World in 2005, he previously working for Associated British Ports and Hutchison Port Holdings in the UK and overseas. And human resources manager Victoria Tobin, was also born and bred in the county. She brings over 20 years experience in HR working in the pharmaceutical and retail sector with companies.
Simon Moore CEO London Gateway said: “Some of our new team members are joining us from as far as New Zealand, but about two-thirds of our staff are from the local area and we expect this to increase. There will be great benefits to local employment at London Gateway as thousands of new jobs become available in the coming years.”
