[ October 9, 2025   //   ]

Freightliner has named one of its locomotives Donald Malcolm in honour of the founder of Scottoish based logistics company The Malcolm Group.

The group has several dedicated Freightliner trains running daily from Daventry to Grangemouth and Mossend in the central belt of Scotland. The named locomotive, no. 90021, was christened at a ceremony at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal on 9 October, an event which also marked the launch of a new daily service operating out of the new Malcolm Group terminal there to Felixstowe.
