Lucky 13 for Schenker

Schenker Limited, the UK arm of DB Schenker Logistics, has welcomed 13 more young people to its National Apprenticeship programme – its fourth intake since the programme started in 2010. The new group will be based from a variety of locations in the UK and will undertake a two year long apprenticeship with the logistics provider.

At the conclusion of the programme the apprentices will have completed extensive training and gained a full appreciation of the DB Schenker organisation.

Schenker Limited CEO, Helgi Ingolfsson (third from left) said: “When we talk about sustainability, for me it means the long term vision of the company, therefore, it is vital that we have a platform to encourage young people to get into logistics.”

There is still a vacancy for one more position.
