Lufthansa Cargo to merge customs broker arms
[ October 31, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Lufthansa Cargo is to merge its two customs subsidiaries, CB Customs Broker and Heyworld into a single company on 1 January.
CB Customs Broker specializes in all areas related to EU customs clearance while Heyworld is a digital logistics platform for cross-border eCommerce transport solutions.
Lufthansa says the merger will give customers with high volumes of cross-border parcel shipments access to a superior level of service and expertise. Tailored logistics services will combine customs brokerage with cross-border transport.
Lufthansa Cargo chief executive, Ashwin Bhat, said: “By combining their complementary strengths and expertise, we are creating a unique offering in the field of cross-border parcel logistics – one that further enhances our market position and enables us to serve customers with even greater value and precision.”
The new company will be jointly led by Murat Odabas, managing director of CB Customs Broker, and Nikola Todic, managing director of Heyworld while Uwe Glunz, current MD of CB Customs Broker and Boris Hueske, MD of Heyworld will take on new roles within the Lufthansa Cargo Group.
