Lufthansa orders new freighters

The Lufthansa board has approved an order for two more Boeing 777F freighter aircraft, due to be delivered in February and March 2019from the plane-maker’s Seattle plant. Described by Lufthansa Cargo chief executive Peter Gerber as “a visible sign of our modernization strategy”, the new aircraft have emissions almost 20% lower than existing MD-11 freighters, and are significantly quieter, says the carrier.
