Maintaining Middle East momentum

Alistair Arthur to develop joint partnership, Momentum tpc

Alistair Arthur, group managing director of Paisley-based logistics firm TPC Global is swapping Scotland’s chilly climate for the warmth of the Middle East to develop the company’s business in there. He will oversee the continuing growth of logistics partnership Momentum tpc, based in Dubai, a joint venture between TPC Freight Management and Momentum Logistics of Sharjah. He has already racked up over 23 years of his 33-year career overseas in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE for organisations such as JF Hillebrand and Merzario and will focus on developing bespoke logistics solutions for specific market sectors in UAE and the Gulf region.

TPC Global provides complete global logistics solutions across the food; wine, beers and spirits; engineering; chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The Scottish logistics solutions group, which includes tpc Freight Management Limited, Thistle International Freight Limited and Thistle International Couriers, provides all or part of the freight process including seafreight, airfreight, overland freight, project cargo, bulk distribution, hazardous goods, warehousing, courier services, insurance and logistics consultancy.

Momentum, the Sharjah based subsidiary of Gulftainer, has offers services including freight forwarding, transport, warehousing, container cleaning and repair and project movements, with offices throughout the UAE and Gulf region and with rapidly expanding activities in Iraq.
