Matt Jones to lead Zeus Labs operations

[ October 20, 2021   //   ]

Haulage, freight booking and management software developer Zeus Labs has appointed Matt Jones as head of operations. He was previously at Wincanton for four years, where he held senior planning and relationship management roles, and before that held planning positions for Severn Trent Water and Cemex Cement.

The move follows the addition of Sam McGuirk as commercial and growth director for the digital freight management provider.

Zeus Labs has identified the UK as a key strategic focus and Matt Jones’ appointment to its senior management team signals the next phase of the company’s development, said the company.

Matt Jones said: “For many years the freight industry hasn’t really taken advantage of the undoubted benefits of digital transformation. However, with Zeus Labs continuing to drive positive change through innovative technology, I believe the transport industry is now ready for that change.

“Zeus Labs has a vision to make a positive difference, not just to shippers, but to small haulage companies and every aspect of the industry. Simply put, Zeus Labs is increasing the efficiency and longevity of the industry by cutting out empty miles and increasing backload availability.”

Jai Kanwar, co-founder of Zeus Labs added: “Since we launched in the UK earlier this year, Zeus Labs has aimed to inspire positive digital transformation in haulage. To achieve that goal, we need the very best people in the sector and by recruiting Matt we have yet again strengthened our management team with a first class hire. We are delighted and very proud that he has chosen Zeus Labs as the company to watch in the sector.”
