Maurice Ward to the rescue

[ August 19, 2020   //   ]

A team of Maurice Ward Group employees created a COVID-19 relief team in Plzeň, Czech Republic during the recent pandemic in cooperation with the Netherlands-based forwarder’s partner PILSCO. It supported the emergency services by donating 15,000 masks, protective clothing and glasses, free trucking and thousands of litres of disinfectant. Some 30 volunteer seamstresses from MWG made masks from provided materials. MWG Technical teams also put their 3D printing machines to work making shields for firemen. MWG also bought 70,000 respirators and donated them to hospitals and medical professionals in Czech Republic, Ireland and Sweden, along with ten sets of respiratory ventilators and oxygen generation sets, donated to facilities in Europe and West Africa.
