[ April 14, 2020   //   ]

Antonov Airlines’ An-225 Mriya aircraft transported a record load of medical cargo from China to Warsaw as part of the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak on 13 April.

The giant plane departed from Tianjin China Airport, where it was loaded with about 100 tonnes of medicines, tests for laboratory analysis, medical masks and other protective equipment, the largest cargo volume ever transported inside the cargo hold of the aircraft

The flight was chartered by UK-based Chapman Freeborn Airchartering.
