Meierkort takes charge of Damco emergency programme

[ April 2, 2020   //   ]

AP Moller forwarding arm Damco has appointed Mike Meierkort as head of Americas, in charge of the launch of the new rescue program in the US. This includes a ‘Park and Save’ option to pre-pull laden Customs-cleared containers and store boxes and chassis intact in a secure location. There is also a ‘Strip and Store’ option to de-van and store palletised freight so that empty equipment can be returned, stopping the clock on detention and chassis fees.

Based in Chicago, Meierkort has over 32 years’ experience in logistics, including senior roles with Panalpina, Vanguard Logistics, and, most recently, Livingston International.
